Scotland (Preference for West Scotland / Glasgow area)

Salary & Benefits:

• £42,000 basic salary

• Weekend overtime: £250 per shift (with additional overtime opportunities)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Appointed Person / Lifting Supervisor to join our team. Unlike other roles that may focus on office-based tasks such as CAD drawings, our Appointed Persons are hands‑on, site‑based leaders responsible for planning and supervising lifting operations across the UK.

You will be responsible for site surveys and sketches (with our back office converting sketches into CAD), as well as supervising on‑site work to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage various lifting operations across the UK.
• Conduct site surveys and create detailed sketches of lifting operations.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and company safety procedures.
• Prepare and reinstate work areas, identifying potential risks and issues.
• Supervise and instruct employees on‑site to ensure safe working practices.
• Ensure proper use and care of lifting equipment, tools, and accessories.
• Address on‑site issues promptly and escalate as necessary.
• Utilize digital tools and technology to support and document lifting operations.
• Carry out other job roles as needed (e.g., Traffic Management, Deliveries, MEWP Supervision, Slinging).

Qualifications & Competencies:

• CPCS Blue Card – Appointed Person (including Lift Supervisor & Slinger/Signaller certifications)
• Hands‑on experience with on‑site supervision of lifting operations
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and relevant regulations
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
