We are looking for a dynamic and commercially savvy Senior Account Manager who thrives on winning new business, managing complex sales cycles and delivering high-value communications and technology solutions. You will be responsible for owning and growing new enterprise accounts, working at the intersection of client needs, solution design and business outcomes. You’ll engage at senior stakeholder level, lead virtual teams and cross-functional colleagues, and promote a customer-centric, proactive approach to opportunity development. This role requires someone who can identify client needs, shape and recommend solutions (especially CCaaS/UCaaS), negotiate value-based propositions, and deliver targets.
Core Responsibilities:- Proactively win new business and acquire new customers across target sectors.
- Understand client organisations deeply: their strategies, structure, pain-points, opportunity areas.
- Identify specific needs and opportunities—recommend appropriate products/services (particularly CCaaS/UCaaS).
- Own and be accountable for achieving Gross Profit targets and associated KPIs.
- Produce proposals, pricing models, reports and accurate forecasting.
- Influence and negotiate in a complex environment (multiple stakeholders, technical and commercial).
- Highlight risks, issues or concerns in customer relationships; escalate or mitigate where required.
- Liaise with internal teams and third-party partners/vendors to coordinate bids, delivery readiness and client development.
- Maintain excellent time-management, attendance, appearance and business integrity at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with industry products, technology trends and competitors, adopting a self‑progression mindset.
- Act as an ambassador for the business in all external engagements.
- Ability to make decisions, delegate, organise, and be accountable.
- Excellent presentation skills; strong verbal and written communication.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive and confident.
- Conflict resolution skills; self‑motivated, independent yet team‑oriented and flexible.
- Customer‑centric mindset; ability to multi‑task and lead “virtual” teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Dynamics CRM.
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience (ideally 5+ years) in direct sales of CCaaS/UCaaS (or related cloud communications/contact‑centre solutions) with TCVs of ~£500k+.
- Valid UK driving licence, own vehicle and ability to visit client sites and the office regularly.
- You have a proven track‑record in selling cloud communications, unified collaboration or contact‑centre solutions.
- You can engage with senior stakeholders (C-level or equivalent), influence decision‑making and manage full sales life‑cycle.
- You thrive in a fast‑moving technology environment; you keep abreast of product and market developments.
- You are results‑driven, organised, and comfortable owning your pipeline and forecast.
- You understand how to position solutions to create value, differentiate from competitors and win new logos.
