Bright Search Recruitment are currently supporting a well-established engineering and infrastructure business in the North West who are looking to recruit an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver with ALLMI Lorry Loader qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver who is confident operating specialist equipment and transporting large loads safely across the UK.
The Role
The successful driver will be responsible for operating a Class 1 HGV with lorry loader (HIAB) transporting materials and equipment to various sites. Duties include:
- Operating Class 1 articulated HGV vehicles
- Using lorry loader crane (ALLMI certified)
- Transporting large loads including extended trailers up to 20m
- Ensuring loads are secured safely
- Completing vehicle checks and transport paperwork
- Delivering equipment safely to customer sites
- Representing the business professionally on site
Pay & Overtime
- £17.00 per hour
- £17.80 per hour after successful 3-month probation
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Night Work Premiums
- Monday – Thursday nights: 1.3x hourly rate
- Friday & Saturday nights: 2x hourly rate
- Sunday nights: 2x hourly rate
Weekend Work (when required)
- Saturday work: minimum 8 hours guaranteed
- Sunday work: minimum 8 hours guaranteed
Requirements
To be considered you must have:
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- ALLMI Lorry Loader qualification
- Experience operating extended trailers up to 20m
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Strong knowledge of safe loading procedures
Desirable:
- ADR licence (advantage but not essential)
