We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Appley Bridge who are looking to recruit a General Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team. You’ll be working closely with two experienced accounts professionals, gaining exposure across multiple areas of finance – this is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a well-rounded accounts career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
- Supporting the Credit Control function
- Helping with general accounts administration
- Processing invoices, reconciliations and data entry
- Providing wider admin support across the office when required
- Occasionally assisting in the on-site retail/store area (team approach – everyone chips in)
What We’re Looking For
- Some experience within an accounts or finance environment
- AAT Level 2 (or working towards) preferred but not essential
- A positive, can-do attitude – no “that’s not my job” mentality
- Someone who is flexible, reliable and happy to support across the business
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Available to start quickly
