Job Title:Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover) Location: Office-based Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months (Maternity Cover) Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) – flexible working considered (e.g., school hours) or less hours We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts processes and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and suppliers. Key Responsibilities: * credit control activities, including statement production and building strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payments. The role needs some flexibility as you will be investigating discrependies with internal staff and external customers * Create and process sales invoices with precision and efficiency. * Manage the purchase ledger * Handle invoice queries, collaborating with internal teams and external partners for swift resolutions. * Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations. * Process monthly credit card statements accurately and efficiently. * Support the weekly supplier payment process. * Contribute to various finance department initiatives as needed.
