Are you an experienced Senior Technical Author with a proven background in commercial software
environments? We’re seeking a highly skilled contractor to join our client’s fast-paced, deadline-driven
team to deliver clear, scalable, and user-friendly documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience as a Senior Technical Author within commercial software companies
• Expertise in creating user guides, manuals, and process documentation that is easy to
navigate and understand
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, QA teams, and product
owners to extract accurate technical detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work under pressure and ask the right
questions to get the job done
• Someone who thrives in tight deadline environments and takes full ownership of their
deliverables
• Tech-agnostic mindset – the tools don’t matter as much as your ability to translate complexity into
clarity
The Work:
• Deliver a suite of scalable documentation that remains useful and understandable long after the
project is complete
• Take initiative in interviewing stakeholders, researching systems, and identifying knowledge
gaps
• Help shape documentation strategy while remaining hands-on with writing
