Overview
In this role you lead a Calypso-focused team within a financial services setting, guiding the full product lifecycle from requirements to go-live. You collaborate with Operations, Product Management, and Technology to translate business needs into actionable specs and configurations. You will drive demos for clients, onboard new products, and mentor junior colleagues, while coordinating with software vendors and QA teams. This position combines leadership with hands-on Calypso expertise to deliver impactful solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4+ staff across Calypso-related delivery
- Liaise with Operations, Product Management and Technology
- Gather internal and external requirements; write specifications and test plans
- Configure the Calypso application and prepare client demos
- Onboard new products/services from UAT to Production
- Coordinate with software vendors and support UAT with clients and QA
- Train junior team members and support capability building
- Support User Acceptance testing processes and overall QA activities
Key requirements
- 6+ years as Calypso Business Analyst within Financial Services
- Strong Calypso experience across Back Office modules (Static Data, Cash & Security Management), Collateral, Accounting, Limits and Risk
- Knowledge of IRD, Fixed Income, FX, FX Options, Equities, ETD (Futures & Options)
- Proven BA skills from requirements to go-live
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Creative problem-solving and ability to address complex issues
- Effective communication with IT and end users at all levels
- Self-starting, proactive approach and strong prioritisation skills
