Bright Purple is recruiting for a Desktop Support Technician to join a busy IT team supporting end users across a busy corporate office in London. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for installing, configuring and supporting desktop hardware and software, resolving technical issues, building new devices and ensuring users receive a high-quality IT support service. You'll work across a broad range of technologies, supporting both BAU activities and IT projects while maintaining excellent customer service throughout.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support or Service Desk role
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and laptop support
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral issues
- Experience building, deploying and imaging Windows devices
- Knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications and enterprise software
- Experience supporting printers, email, networking and remote access
- Ability to prioritise and manage incidents through a ticketing system
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable Skills:
- Technical qualification or equivalent commercial experience
- Experience with asset management and hardware lifecycle processes
- Knowledge of Active Directory and endpoint management tools
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
- Exposure to desktop security, patching and malware protection
