Data Analyst - Glasgow, Hybrid

Bright Purple are working with a well-established, growing organisation based in Glasgow who are looking for a commercially minded Data Analyst to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys turning numbers into decisions, rather than just building dashboards for the sake of it. Working with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, you'll be at the heart of how the business understands its own performance.

What is in it for you:

  • Salary up to £45,000
  • Hybrid working - 2 days in the central Glasgow office
  • Great company benefits including pension and life assurance
  • The chance to shape reporting processes and tools from the ground up
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making

The Role:

  • You'll be producing commercial and financial analysis that genuinely informs decision-making at every level of the business. That means taking business questions and turning them into clear, actionable insight, not just reporting for reporting's sake.
  • You’ll track performance against budgets, forecasts and targets, flag where profitability or efficiency could be improved, and respond to ad-hoc requests from management with speed and accuracy.
  • You’ll also have a hand in designing and maintaining the reporting infrastructure itself, moving the team away from manual processes and towards smarter, more consistent ways of working with data.

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with a commercial or financial focus
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical outputs
  • Comfortable working with budgets, forecasts and performance metrics
  • A proactive approach to spotting inefficiencies and process improvements
  • Confidence presenting findings to management and supporting strategic decisions

If you're a data analyst who wants your work to actually influence business decisions, this role offers real scope to make an impact.

Bright Purple is an equal opportunities employer: we are proud to work with clients who share our values of diversity and inclusion in our industry.
