Senior Automation Engineer | Contract | Liverpool (Hybrid) Bright Purple is working with a client in Liverpool to find two Senior Automation Engineers for a contract starting this month. It's a chance to join a collaborative delivery team where you'll have a real say in the quality and test automation approach. 📍 Location: Liverpool, onsite Tuesday to Thursday 💷 Rate: £325 - £350 per day - Statement of Work 📅 Start date: 12 October 2026 ⏳ Duration: 3 months initially, with a view to extend by a further 6 months The role You'll design, build and maintain test automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript. The work is hands-on, but you'll also be client-facing: you'll work closely with stakeholders, explain your approach and help raise the quality bar across the team. What you'll be doing Designing, building and improving automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript Building robust, scalable and maintainable automation frameworks Working with developers, BAs and product owners to make sure quality is built in from the start Fitting automated testing into CI/CD pipelines Sharing progress, risks and recommendations clearly with client stakeholders Mentoring and supporting other team members on automation best practice What we're looking for Proven experience as a Senior Automation Engineer or in a similar role Strong hands-on skills in Playwright and TypeScript Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with clients A collaborative, proactive approach and a good fit with the client's people-focused culture Insurance sector experience would be a real advantage, but isn't essential Why apply?
