We are seeking a detail-oriented SQL Technician to support a high-volume, enterprise-scale SQL Server upgrade project within the hospitality sector. This is a temporary 6-week contract that requires initial onsite training in Edinburgh (3 days), followed by fully remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the mass upgrade of SQL Server 2014 to SQL Server 2019 during off-peak hours.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy and precision throughout the upgrade process.
- Produce clear, concise, and well-documented upgrade reports.
- Identify, log, and support resolution of break/fix issues during upgrades.
- Collaborate on additional upgrade-related tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience with SQL Server upgrades from 2014 to 2019.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
