Looking for a Performance Test Architect supporting a major European SAP S/4HANA transformation, and we are looking for a specialist SAP Performance Test Architect to lead performance testing from the start. The programme brings several SAP ECC environments and legacy applications together onto a single S/4HANA Cloud platform through RISE with SAP on AWS. It covers multiple countries, business units and manufacturing sites.

Before anything changes, the priority is to understand how the current landscape performs today, and that's where you come in.

This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll work independently. You'll own the performance testing and benchmarking strategy, assess the existing ECC landscape and capture baseline measurements for response times, workloads, infrastructure, integrations and network connectivity across Europe. Those baselines become the benchmark the new S/4HANA platform is measured against through migration and every country rollout.

You'll design and run load, stress, scalability and endurance testing, lead the setup of tooling (Tricentis NeoLoad is proposed), and work closely with SAP Basis, infrastructure, network and cloud teams to find where the real bottlenecks are. You'll also set the acceptance criteria and SLAs for the future platform.

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience in performance engineering or senior performance testing
  • Proven performance testing of large-scale SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA
  • Strong hands-on NeoLoad or similar enterprise performance tooling
  • Pre-migration baselining experience on major transformations
  • Analysis of latency, infrastructure and response times across distributed environments
  • The confidence to explain technical risk in business terms

Nice to have:

  • RISE with SAP or SAP on AWS
  • SAP HANA performance analysis
  • ST03N/STAD/ST12
  • Solution Manager or Cloud ALM
  • Experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments

This one is for an SAP performance specialist rather than a test manager with some load testing exposure. If you've benchmarked complex SAP landscapes ahead of a migration, we'd like to hear from you. Apply below if you feel this is you!
