Edinburgh (Hybrid) Inside IR35 £450£525 per day Are you a Data Engineer who enjoys building reliable, scalable data pipelines that power business-critical reporting and analytics?

We're recruiting for an experienced Data Engineer to join a growing data function, helping deliver trusted, high-quality data products across a large enterprise environment.

Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll design, build and maintain data pipelines while ensuring solutions are secure, well-governed and built to modern engineering standards.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines and data products.

Build scalable solutions that move data from source systems into reporting and analytics platforms.

Deliver high-quality engineering solutions using modern CI/CD practices.

Monitor pipeline health, investigate incidents and resolve production issues.

Work closely with Data Analysts, Data Owners and technical teams to deliver trusted data solutions.

Apply engineering standards, governance and quality controls throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Contribute to automation, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for

Commercial experience delivering enterprise data engineering solutions.

Strong SQL and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or Snowflake.

Experience building integrations, APIs or data pipelines.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Experience with scripting using SQL, Python or Power Shell.

Experience with CI/CD, version control and deployment tooling.

Strong troubleshooting skills with a passion for engineering quality and operational excellence.
