Bright Purple are looking for a technical Project Engineer for an Outside IR35 contract supporting the delivery of telecoms and networking projects across Scotland. This role sits close to project delivery, technical planning and implementation, supporting the SPEN account across installation, commissioning, documentation and network project delivery.

You will support project and senior project managers with the scoping, planning, implementation and delivery of technical projects across telecoms and networking environments. The role is mainly remote from the Central Belt, with some travel across Scotland when required. Working pattern is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, with timings agreed around project needs.

Essential Skills
  • Strong technical project engineering background
  • IP networking knowledge, ideally CCNA level
  • WAN, LAN and MPLS experience
  • Routing, switching and data networking knowledge
  • Nokia SAR-H and Nokia NFM-P experience
  • XTran technology experience
  • Routers, switches and firewall configuration
  • Microsoft Visio for network diagrams
  • Strong technical documentation skills
Key Responsibilities
  • Support technical project delivery across Scotland
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Complete site surveys and project handovers
  • Support installation and commissioning activity
  • Assist with technical faults and customer meetings
  • Produce RAMS, POWRA and other health and safety documentation

This is a strong contract for someone who can bridge technical networking knowledge with project delivery.
