We are working with a long-standing, UK-based consultancy with a well-earned reputation for excellence, who are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their software team, a role blending hands-on development with genuine ownership of design and architecture, shaping scalable, resilient platforms that are growing fast.

The Role:
The platform is hosted within Microsoft Azure, uses Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL for data storage, and is complemented by a Vue.js and TypeScript front end. Day to day, you’ll be:
- Building and maintaining client-facing applications processing large, complex datasets in real time
- Driving the evolution of the platform's architecture, spotting opportunities to improve performance, scalability and resilience
- Owning technical design decisions while staying hands-on through the full development lifecycle, from concept to delivery
- Championing engineering best practice, clean structure, testability and solid documentation
- Supporting cloud operations across Microsoft Azure, including App Services, CI/CD pipelines and Azure Front Door
- Staying ahead of the curve on emerging tools and techniques, including AI-assisted and agentic development workflows
Skills Required:
- Strong C# and .NET expertise, with a track record of designing high-performance, maintainable systems
- Solid database experience
- Confidence using AI-assisted coding tools and agentic workflows day to day
- Familiarity with Agile environments and collaborative code review
- Git and Azure DevOps knowledge desirable; Azure infrastructure and CI/CD experience a plus
- Vue.js, Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL experience all nice to have
- A strong communicator, able to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences
