Schedule: 4 Day week Rotating shift (includes nights/weekends) Salary Up to £65,000As a Security Services Engineer, youll gain hands-on experience protecting live production environments from DDo S attacks and other network threats you will be working shoulder-to-shoulder with customers when the pressure is highest.
The
Role: Triage and resolve security incidents and customer tickets in a live production environment (1st/2nd line support).
Monitor, analyse, and investigate network traffic and emerging threats, including active DDo S activity.
Support customer maintenance, upgrades, and technical communications.
Contribute to incident response and post-incident reviews that sharpen our detection and mitigation playbooks.
Work within ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Requests).
Document procedures, grow the SOC knowledge base, and share what you learn with the team.
Continuously level up your expertise across cybersecurity, networking.
What were looking for: 12 years experience in a SOC, IT support, networking, or similar technical role.
Strong networking fundamentals TCP/IP, routing, and packet analysis with solid troubleshooting instincts.
The ability to prioritise, stay organised, and communicate clearly under pressure.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment (including nights and weekends).
Nice to have: Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred).
Working knowledge of DDo S attacks and network security concepts.
Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (KVM, ESXi).
Linux and basic scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash).
Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, Comp TIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cy SA+, or Cyber Ops.
