We’re looking for a confident Room Leader to Lead our Toddler classroom.

Qualifications

  • Strong childcare and early years education skills, including experience working with children aged 0–5 in a nursery or preschool setting.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Leadership and team coordination skills to guide practitioners in the room, delegate tasks, and support professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, and inclusion, with commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Organizational and record-keeping skills for managing routines, documenting observations, maintaining children’s learning journals, and following nursery procedures.
  • Relevant childcare qualification (e. g., Level 3 or above in Early Years Education or equivalent) and up-to-date pediatric first aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience in a room leader or senior practitioner role is desirable, along with familiarity with Ofsted requirements and quality standards.
  • Ability to work full time on-site, demonstrating reliability, flexibility, and a positive, professional attitude.
