Duties:

  • Support chef ensuring that all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Follow food safety protocols to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • To support/assist the Nursery Chef in ensuring a high standard of catering with all food being prepared for the children through following the policies, procedures, legislative guidelines and relevant instructions as set out by the Nursery.
  • To complete advanced Food Hygiene Certificate.

Requirements of Kitchen Assistant Role:

  • Understanding of catering for special diets, allergies and intolerances
  • Ability to work quickly but efficiently - FAST PACED ENVIRONMENT
  • Experience in nursery or school settings
