Our Harrow Nursery is looking for a reliable Lunch Cover Assistant to support our Toddler Room over the lunchtime period, Monday to Friday.
Please note, we’re open all year round and this isn’t a term-time-only role.

- Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday lunchtime shifts

- What You’ll Do
- Provide cover during lunchtime so our Toddler Room team can take their breaks, without disrupting the children’s routine.
- Support children with mealtimes, encouraging independence and healthy eating habits.
- Help with nappy changes, toileting and hygiene routines as needed.
- Keep ratios and safeguarding standards in place at all times.
- Settle children calmly after lunch and hand back over smoothly to the room team.
- Build friendly, familiar relationships with the children so lunchtime feels consistent and safe.
- What We’re Looking For
- Some experience with toddlers or young children, in a nursery or similar setting.
- A warm, patient and nurturing approach to mealtimes and routines.
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working the same shifts each week.
- A good understanding of safeguarding, hygiene and health and safety practices.
- Willingness to work towards a paediatric first aid or food hygiene certificate if you don’t already hold one.
