KS3 & KS4 Tutor in Leicester

Bright learning Centre is looking for experienced, reliable, and passionate tutors who can teach Science, Maths & English tuition for Year 4 to GCSE level. We offer group-based tuition to school children. If you have passion to work with children and have ability to use your own initiatives in challenging situations, then this role is suitable for you.

What we look for in our tutor is subject matter knowledge and experience covering:

• The UK school curriculum
• The Primary and Secondary education key stages exam boards and structures
• Ability to plan lessons, regular meetings with parents to give feedback
• Teaching techniques with the ability to adapt and apply these to the specifics of our students
• Current or previous tutoring/teaching experience
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• GCSE English, Maths & Science minimum grade A* – B

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Tutoring maths and English to groups of up to 8 children of mixed ages, abilities and learning needs.
• Tailoring your approach – supporting children to learn and progress at their own pace
• Encouraging children to overcome challenges – celebrating when they have a go and recognising their efforts
• Marking worksheets and giving feedback
• Interact with learners to make them comfortable

Note: The role is part-time with shift availability on Tuesday & Thursday 4 – 6PM or Saturday & Sunday 12 – 2PM. The aim is to offer same weekly hours to all our tutors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £8.00-£12.00 per hour
