An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the friendly and supportive team. The practice is looking for an RVN who is passionate about high standards of patient care and keen to make full use of their Schedule 3 skills within a busy first opinion environment.
The successful candidate will become part of an established team comprising five vets, eight RVNs, five receptionists and three VCAs. The practice has created a genuinely collaborative working environment where colleagues support one another, share knowledge and make time to enjoy working together. Every team member is encouraged to contribute, with individual ideas and opinions valued.
The position is ideally offered on a full-time basis, although the practice is flexible and happy to discuss alternative hours and rota arrangements. The nursing team works on a varied rota covering ward and inpatient care, theatre and preparation, and consulting nurse duties. Shifts fall between 8am and 8pm, with no out-of-hours work and a 1 in 7 Saturday rota from 8am to 3pm, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
The practice is seeking a motivated and team-focused RVN who genuinely puts patients first and shares its ethos of treating every animal as if they were their own. Respect, teamwork and knowledge sharing are central to the practice culture, alongside a positive no-blame approach that encourages reflection, learning and continuous improvement.
With a busy and varied caseload, the role would suit an RVN who is friendly, compassionate and empathetic, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care to both patients and clients. The practice is RCVS-accredited as a GP and is also recognised as a Zero Pain Practice, following the Zero Pain Philosophy.

This is supported by regular clinical audits and reviews of practice protocols. The team includes three Advanced Diploma nurses, a nurse holding a Certificate in Anaesthesia, an ECC nurse and an ISFM Feline Nurse, providing an excellent environment for professional development and knowledge sharing.
In return, the practice offers a salary of Β£30,000βΒ£35,000 FTE, depending on experience and the skills brought to the role, together with a generous CPD allowance and support for certificate-level qualifications. Professional memberships are fully funded, alongside a contributory pension scheme.
