Our client on the South Coast have a vacancy for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis. This independent, single branch practice based in Southampton, Hampshire has a fantastic, supportive team and are more than able to mentor your development in this role. The practice provides a comprehensive service to their loyal clients and therefore the position will include some out of hours, once you are ready.
Responsibilities
- Full-time role working 4 days per week with Saturdays on a rota.
- 1:4 out-of-hours (OOH) rota via a pager system; night duty is likely to be overnight/in-patient checking via a pager until the following morning. Overnight presence at the practice is not required unless a case requires constant supervision. The OOH service caters for the team’s own clients.
Team & Facilities
Current team consists of 7 vets with experience ranging from 2 to 20 years. Supported by a large team of 8 RVNs and trainee nurses. Facilities include: Endoscopy, ECG, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray, Orthopaedic equipment and a fully equipped dental suite.
