I have a lovely client in South Manchester who is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and forward‑thinking team. The role is a first‑opinion position that includes a mixture of consultations and clinical responsibilities, with some sole charge required. It is a full‑time position based on a four‑day working week, with weekend work on a rota basis compensated with time off in lieu, and occasional late evening shifts supported by the practice’s own 24‑hour clinic. There are no on‑call duties, and patients can be managed within the group without the need for external referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Clinician duties include consultations, examinations and treatment of small animals.
  • Execute clinical procedures and manage cases independently where required.
  • Work within an in‑house referral hospital and out‑of‑hours team, leveraging advanced imaging and anaesthesia facilities such as CT, MRI, Doppler echocardiography, endoscopy, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound and laparoscopic/fluoroscopic equipment.
