Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity – Hertford Practice
Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a friendly, forward-thinking team in a great location? Our client in Hertford is recruiting for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to become a key member of the passionate and supportive team. Located just 3 minutes from the train and bus stations with free parking, they offer a convenient work environment with easy access to transport links.
About the Practice:
The clinic is well-equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, capnography, and an IV pump, allowing them to provide excellent care to patients. They have a dedicated team of 2 vets, who bring over 30 years of veterinary experience and a special interest in Soft Tissue Surgery and Oncology. They also have 2 experienced RVNs and two VCAs, alongside a long-standing receptionist who has built great relationships with very loyal clients. Hertford is a charming, historic market town, just 20 miles from London, giving you the best of both worlds—a peaceful small-town atmosphere with easy access to city life.
About You:
They are seeking a motivated and proactive vet with strong medical and surgical skills. You should feel confident handling routine surgical and medical cases, including ultrasound. Experience in sole charge is necessary as you will occasionally work independently. The ability to build strong client relationships and work well within a team is key.
Minimum Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must hold a Degree in Veterinary Medicine (MRCVS or equivalent) and be registered with the RCVS. You should be comfortable managing a varied caseload with confidence, professionalism, and a passion for animal welfare.
