They provide a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £34,000 depending on your experience, with no out-of-hours duties or overnight inpatient checks. The only weekend commitment is one Saturday in four. CPD is fully encouraged and supported, including opportunities to pursue areas of special interest. You’ll be joining an inclusive and friendly team that values diversity, collaboration and professional growth.
The purpose‑built, RCVS‑accredited practice offers advanced diagnostic equipment, in‑house laparoscopy and access to an advanced dermatology service.
The team consists of three vets, four RVNs, one SVN, two VCAs and a dedicated front‑of‑house group. They thrive on creating roles that help people thrive, which in turn helps them provide exceptional care to clients and their pets. The practice sits within a bustling shopping area with plenty of shops, cafés and places to eat, and is only minutes from the beach. Transport links are excellent, with the motorway close by and easy access to trams, buses, taxis and rail services. Manchester and Liverpool airports are both less than an hour away. The surgery is fully air‑conditioned and built to industry‑leading standards, with separate wards for dogs, cats and exotic species to ensure patient comfort. Facilities include three consult rooms, a spacious treatment area, digital and dental X‑ray, ultrasound, Imagyst cytology and capnography. They also benefit from a visiting orthopaedic service through a sister practice.
In this role, you’ll be able to make full use of your nursing abilities, from admitting patients and monitoring anaesthetics to recovering and discharging cases. You’ll work with the support of ANAs and an SVN who help maintain the smooth running of theatre and patient preparation. They are interested in hearing from cheerful, compassionate and practical nurses who have strong general nursing experience and excellent communication skills. Whether you’re newly qualified or looking for the next step in your RVN career, they would be delighted to hear from you.
The position is full time at 40 hours a week and includes one weekend in four. In return, you will receive a generous CPD allowance—with certificates funded—alongside paid professional memberships, wellbeing initiatives, social events, a contributory pension scheme and a range of exclusive retail and company discounts and you’d also benefit from further development opportunities.
They are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of clients and community. If this role sounds like the right fit for you, we would love to hear from you.
