My Client on the Wirral is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join the team. Working closely with partners, a practice manager, veterinary surgeons, clinical colleagues, and client‑care teams, the RVN contributes to the smooth and effective operation of the practice and helps maintain the highest standards of clinical care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Sustain veterinary consultations by providing essential support to the team.
- Assist with surgical procedures and undertake investigative and diagnostic procedures.
- Participate in house visits when required and provide comprehensive care for hospitalised patients.
- Deliver pre‑ and post‑operative nursing care, assist with radiography, dispense medications, and provide ongoing nursing support to the veterinary team.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control through the cleaning and sterilisation of instruments and clinical areas, in accordance with practice protocols, policies and the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct.
- Support the training and development of Veterinary Nursing and EMS students on placement and actively participate in continuing professional development to maintain and enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a currently registered or listed Veterinary Nurse with strong clinical and surgical nursing skills, excellent client care, communication and organisational abilities, and the professionalism and teamwork skills required to work effectively within a busy practice environment.
Working Hours
The working rota is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:30, with no weekend or out‑of‑hours duties. The practice is willing to accommodate arrangements to ensure a healthy work‑life balance.
