I'm excited to be working with my client in Stafford to offer a permanent position for a small animal Vet, with applications welcomed from both full‐time and part‐time candidates.
Work Schedule
The standard full‐time rota consists of a 40‐hour week across four days, including a Saturday morning on a 1:3 basis, with no out‐of‐hours duties. The working week will typically include a balanced mix of one surgical day, one consulting day and two blended days, although the ratio can be adjusted to match your interests.
Caseload & Acuity
Residents will engage in a varied caseload, including routine primary care, surgical procedures, and a selection of wildlife and exotic species ranging from hedgehogs and owls to reptiles and even the occasional baby dragon.
Facilities & Accreditations
Both premises are modern, light and recently refurbished, featuring two linked theatres at one site. They are fully equipped with digital X‐ray, a Vista scanner, in‐house blood analysers, ultrasound and dental radiography. The practice enjoys a Cat‐Friendly Silver status at both sites, a Silver RWAF, and Green Investors in the Environment accreditations.
Team
You will be joining a friendly team of five Vets supported by dedicated nursing and client‐care colleagues. Teamwork, continuity of care and a welcoming, sociable working environment are highly valued.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a confident small animal Vet who is comfortable with routine primary care and who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. An interest in developing more advanced skills is encouraged, and the practice supports professional growth through extensive CPD opportunities.
