This 24‐Hour Hospital is offering a permanent full‐time position for a skilled and confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to join an exceptional team. The hospital sits within beautiful woodland and countryside, creating a calm and inspiring place to work. Despite its peaceful surroundings, the location offers easy access to the South Downs National Park, strong transport connections, and a selection of charming Sussex villages.

Responsibilities

  • Assist vets during procedures and run your own nurse appointments.
  • Oversee patient monitoring and care, manage admissions and discharges, and ensure all records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, provide daily care (walking, feeding), arrange out‐of‐hours transfers, and dispense/check medication under veterinary guidance.
  • Contribute to daily team briefings, coordinate activity to ensure the smooth running of the hospital, and assist with laboratory submissions and stock control.
  • Escalate concerns when needed and ensure clinical areas are fully prepared for upcoming procedures.

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS) with at least two years of post‐qualification experience.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for patient care and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills and a consistent commitment to exceptional client care.
  • Confidence in coaching and guiding colleagues to help them perform at their best is also important.
