The role offers an excellent opportunity for a nurse seeking a varied, hands‐on position within a supportive hospital setting that actively encourages clinical development and progression.
Responsibilities
The Day RVN will play a central role within the hospital's Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) service, working as part of the ECC team during daytime hours. The position involves caring for urgent and critical patients and offers regular rotation through emergency and inpatient care, theatre, nurse consultations and nurse‐led Schedule 3 procedures. Working closely alongside the Lead Nurse and veterinary clinicians, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of consistently high clinical standards, supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes experienced nurses, students, patient care assistants and a dedicated night team.
Qualifications
This role would suit a Tier 2 or Tier 3 Registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong interest in emergency, critical care and inpatient nursing. In return, the role offers a four‐day working week and a comprehensive benefits package. This includes five weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays and an additional birthday leave day, payment of RCVS and VDS fees, fully funded external CPD. Additional benefits include clear career progression, a competitive salary aligned with experience, staff discounts including gym membership, life assurance, enhanced sickness pay and enhanced equal family leave. Nurses also have access to an electric car salary‐sacrifice scheme, employer pension contributions and a wide‐ranging wellbeing programme that includes an employee assistance service, mental health first aiders, eyecare vouchers, free annual flu vaccinations, a cycle‐to‐work scheme and a recruitment referral reward.
