Working closely with a Regional Director (ROD) and Partner, you'll ensure the smooth, efficient, and compliant running of the clinic, while leading and inspiring the team to deliver exceptional care to our patients and clients.
About the Practice
The practice is a spacious, well-equipped clinic featuring an internal IDEX machine and a large surgical theatre. You'll be joining a dedicated and compassionate team consisting of 2 vets (including a new graduate), 1 Head Nurse, 2 student nurses, and both veterinary and client care assistants. They pride themselves on being professional, approachable, and flexible, creating a supportive environment where both staff and clients feel valued.
The Role
As Practice Manager, you'll take ownership of the practice's success from every angle—client experience, patient care, team wellbeing, compliance, and commercial growth. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years' experience in operations and people management, preferably within veterinary, healthcare, or a similar environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Client Care: Ensuring an outstanding experience for every client, handling feedback, and driving improvements.
- Team Leadership: Line-managing all staff, overseeing recruitment, development, and engagement to create a happy and high-performing team.
- Compliance & Standards: Maintaining best practice in clinical facilities, health & safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Commercial Performance: Working with the Lead Vet and RD to meet KPIs, manage costs, and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Rota Management: Planning rotas and managing leave to ensure effective clinic coverage.
- Communication & Community: Sharing key messages internally and representing the clinic in the local community.

- Solid understanding of compliance, standards, and operational best practice.
- Commercial awareness with experience of managing budgets and KPIs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and good numeracy/analytical skills.
- A proactive, supportive, and positive approach to leadership.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of a thriving practice, while ensuring a healthy work-life balance for your team. You'll be joining a progressive, supportive organisation that values both its clients and its colleagues, giving you the chance to make a real difference every day.
