An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on the role of Lead Vet at a wellāestablished practice in the borough of Haringay. This permanent, fullātime position is ideal for someone ready to combine handsāon clinical work with leadership responsibility, helping to guide a talented team while shaping the future of a thriving community clinic.
Responsibilities & Duties
As Lead Vet, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of veterinary care for both patients and clients. You will provide clinical leadership, mentor your colleagues, and maintain compliance with all operational, regulatory, and professional standards. Working closely with the Practice Manager, you will also contribute to the continued growth and commercial success of the clinic, making this role a perfect balance between clinical excellence and strategic management.
This position would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with a few years of UK experience who is confident in surgery, diagnostics, and case management. You will have the autonomy to make clinical decisions, set standards of care, and inspire your team to deliver outstanding results. You'll have access to leadership support, advanced hospital facilities, and opportunities for professional development, including certificate funding.
This purposeābuilt practice sits at the heart of the local community and is equipped with modern facilities, including digital Xāray, ultrasound, a dedicated dental suite, and an ināhouse laboratory. You'll work with a loyal and supportive client base, handling a diverse caseload that will keep your clinical skills sharp. The team is small but experienced, consisting of skilled nurses and receptionists who are passionate about providing the very best care to every patient.
This role is offered on a fourāday working week from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a oneāhour lunch break and participation in the weekend rota, which operates on a oneāināsix full weekend basis. They are looking for a confident communicator who leads by example, enjoys mentoring others, and takes pride in delivering goldāstandard veterinary care.
