Overview
GP Veterinary Surgeon – South London Multi-Site Role
Role and settings
If variety is your thing and you enjoy the rhythm of different clinical settings while keeping a consistent weekly routine, this role might be just what you're looking for. My client are offering a unique opportunity for a confident GP vet to work across three distinct practices in South London — each with its own character, team dynamic, and clinical setup.
Rota, locations and responsibilities
Your week will be structured and predictable, with Tuesdays at Croydon, Wednesdays at Caterham, and Thursdays and Fridays at New Addington. Each site brings something different to the table — Caterham, for example, is equipped with ultrasound facilities — and you’ll be supported at every location by experienced colleagues who know their patients and their patch.
This is a sole-charge position, so you’ll need to be comfortable handling routine consultations and surgeries independently. That said, you won’t be going it alone. You’ll have full clinical backup from a 24 hour site close by for complex cases and out-of-hours care, plus guidance from a dedicated regional manager and a knowledgeable regional head vet who’s always on hand to support your clinical development and decision-making.
Working pattern and additional rota
Your rota also includes a branch Saturday rotation, a 1-in-10 Sunday shift at the Hospital, and just one bank holiday per year — giving you plenty of time to enjoy life outside of work. And with Kingston Upon Thames nearby for riverside strolls and Brixton within easy reach for a night out, you’re perfectly placed to make the most of both worlds.
Salary and benefits
They are offering a salary between £60,000 and £75,000 (FTE), depending on experience, with room to grow and develop. CPD is actively encouraged, and they are happy to support further clinical or management training to help you shape your career.
There are no on-call requirements for this role, and you’ll enjoy a generous benefits package including 6.6 weeks of annual leave (including bank holidays), private medical insurance with Bupa, up to £2,000 CPD budget per year with up to five days' paid CPD leave, and relocation assistance where applicable.
