I’m working with a great practice who are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its established team in a leafy and vibrant part of West London. Offering a salary of up to £85,000, flexible working options and 30-minute consultations, the role provides an opportunity to enjoy a varied first-opinion caseload while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Established for around 10 years, the practice is locally owned and operates with full autonomy. It is also the sister practice to a successful concept site in Brentford, giving the team access to a wealth of experience while retaining its own friendly and independent character. Over the years, the practice has developed a loyal client base and a broad caseload, supported by the equipment and facilities expected within a well-established GP practice. The practice is also conveniently positioned within walking distance of the Central Line and a mainline railway station, making commuting straightforward.
The Practice Owner places a strong emphasis on supporting and developing his team. New colleagues will join a growing and collaborative group where individual interests are encouraged, CPD is actively supported and everyone is given the opportunity to contribute ideas and have their voice heard.
The position would suit an experienced small animal vet with a broad range of general-practice skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing the everyday medical and surgical requirements of a first-opinion caseload and will enjoy developing strong relationships with both clients and their pets. A team-focused approach is important, as is the confidence to work across a varied caseload.
The role is based around four working days per week, with a 1-in-3 weekend rota. Flexible working arrangements can be considered, allowing the practice to accommodate different working patterns where possible. Consultations are scheduled for 30 minutes, giving vets additional time to investigate cases thoroughly, discuss treatment options with clients and provide a more considered standard of patient care.
Alongside a supportive working environment, the package includes a salary of £60,000 to £85,000, depending on experience, 5.6 weeks' holiday, life assurance worth four times annual salary, a contributory pension scheme and paid RCVS, BVA and VDS memberships. CPD is encouraged, with support available for certificates or equivalent qualifications. There are also no out-of-hours duties.
