Veterinary Surgeon – South Manchester

4-Day Week | No On-Call | Tier 3 Hospital & In-House Referrals | Up to 6.6 Weeks Holiday

Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon seeking a supportive and progressive practice where you can grow and thrive? A well-established, multi-site veterinary group in South Manchester is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their first‑opinion team. This is a varied and rewarding role offering a balanced four‑day week, with some late evenings (5pm–11pm) and weekend shifts on a fair rota. There is no on‑call, and time off in lieu (TOIL) is generously provided.

The group consists of seven branches, including a 24‑hour Tier 3 hospital and an in‑house referral service led by certificate holders across multiple disciplines. This means your patients can receive advanced care without leaving the practice, supported by a passionate, highly skilled team and state‑of‑the‑art equipment. The practice prides itself on providing gold‑standard care while promoting engaged client consent, allowing you to offer the best treatment options to a loyal and growing client base. Some sole charge may be required, so previous general practice experience is important.

The surgery is equipped with an impressive range of advanced tools, including a CT scanner and visiting MRI, Doppler echocardiography, flexible and rigid endoscopes, laparoscopy and fluoroscopy, digital radiography and dental radiography, as well as advanced ultrasound, anaesthesia and surgical equipment.
