Overview
My independent client is a thriving RCVS Hospital Standard practice based in Norfolk, with a second branch in King's Lynn, just 25 minutes away. The practice is currently seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and experienced nursing team.
Rota & Working Hours
The rota includes 1 in 5 weekends and approximately 1 in 10 night shifts, although this may vary depending on staffing requirements. A £2,000 annual night allowance is paid from the point night duties begin. From September, the practice will be introducing a temporary four-day working week, which will be reviewed in January 2027. The additional day off will rotate each week to ensure a fair work-life balance, with extra time off provided around weekend commitments.
Benefits & Package
The successful candidate will benefit from an excellent package including private healthcare, enhanced family leave, a generous pension scheme, uncapped CPD subject to approval, staff discounts, a birthday day off, increasing annual leave with length of service, company sick pay, monthly staff rewards, and £100 book vouchers for employees' children up to the age of 16. Salary is competitive and based on post-qualification experience, with the additional night allowance paid on top.
Practice Overview
Established for almost 15 years, the practice has grown significantly and now employs almost 60 team members. Patient welfare and exceptional client care remain at the heart of everything they do, supported by a commitment to innovation, outstanding customer service, and creating a positive, supportive workplace where every team member is encouraged to develop and progress in their career.
