This busy small animal practice in Romford is looking to welcome an enthusiastic and experienced full‑time Veterinary Surgeon to join a large, well‑established clinical team.

The practice is a highly skilled workforce of 13 vets, 12 registered veterinary nurses, 10 student nurses and 10 receptionists, creating a collaborative and supportive environment where high‑quality patient care is the shared priority. It benefits from a broad range of clinical interests spanning internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics, and is purpose‑built to industry‑leading standards. The surgery is exceptionally well equipped with two dedicated operating theatres, digital radiography, ultrasound, an in‑house laboratory, full endoscopy and CT scanning, and continued investment into new equipment.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Applicants must have existing UK experience and be confident managing routine consultations as well as occasional sole charge. Strong diagnostic and medical skills are essential, alongside competence in routine surgical procedures. Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ experience, including solid exposure to internal medicine, excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to practice and a genuine passion for client care and teamwork.

Working Pattern

The full‑time working pattern is structured across four weekdays, with a fair and manageable weekend rota of one in six full weekends and one in six Saturdays only. Part‑time hours may also be considered for the right candidate.
