This lovely practice in Hull is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and supportive team. The practice has a close-knit team who enjoy spending time together both in and out of work, creating a positive and welcoming environment where colleagues support one another and share plenty of laughs along the way. Based in a purpose-built clinic designed to industry-leading standards, the team benefits from modern facilities, including digital X-ray and an in-house laboratory.
The role offers plenty of variety, with a balance of nurse consultations, inpatient care and theatre duties. Responsibilities will include admitting patients, preparing them for procedures, monitoring anaesthesia, overseeing recovery and discharging patients. Veterinary Care Assistants and a Student Veterinary Nurse are on hand to help with patient preparation and theatre turnaround, allowing the nursing team to make full use of their clinical skills. Nurses interested in carrying out Schedule 3 procedures will also be encouraged to explore this aspect of the role.
The position is full-time, working 40 hours per week across a mixture of early and late shifts, with a 1-in-3 Saturday rota. There are no out-of-hours duties or overnight inpatient checks, helping to support a healthy work-life balance.
The benefits package includes a salary of up to £35,000, depending on experience, alongside generous CPD funding, including support for certificates.
