Up to £95,000 DOE, Relocation allowance up to £5,000, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 Our client has a RCVS Hospital and is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented Clinical Director/Veterinary Surgeon to join them. The hospital is an accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital based in the beautiful university city of Lincoln – good transport connections to London, vibrant nightlife, beautiful outdoors, being close to the coast, and having excellent schools plus low cost of living makes Lincoln an ideal area if you are considering relocation and maintaining a good work-life balance. This role is 4 days per week averaging 40 hours, with Saturday mornings (8.30 am – 12 noon) on a 1:4 rota. There is some flexibility with shifts, but there are no OOH as Vets Now cover this for the practice. No Sundays, no Bank holidays. This role entails consults, operating, dentistry, performing work-ups, delivering in-patient care, and upskilling and mentoring the vets and nurses. They have an experienced team to manage the operational side of the practice, so that you can concentrate on what you do best. They will fully support you in exploring any clinical interests in the form of continuous professional development, and will help with team support and mentorship. Part-time and full-time applications are welcome. The hospital has dedicated dog, cat, and exotic wards, two theatres, and an on-site laboratory, Digital X-ray suite, Bucky table and grid, a dedicated dental theatre, dental radiography, Mylab ultrasound with abdominal and cardiac probes, laparoscopic equipment, endoscope and bronchoscope, a range of orthopaedic kit, electrocautery and cryotherapy, and air-conditioning throughout. Vets Now are working on site, which guarantees timely finishes with excellent in-patient care overnight without the worries of transferring patients. The team of 7 vets prides itself on practicing gold standard medicine and surgery. They have several certificate holders within the team and the Head Nurse also holds a Diploma. There is a culture of comradery, supporting and relishing high standards of clinical care. The senior vets (vet GDP advisors) are happy to mentor and discuss cases where required. With regular team and M&M meetings, they maintain good communication, discuss cases, and any changes required in processes in a blame-free environment, with active encouragement to constantly develop and improve the practice. The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, have good communication skills, a positive attitude, be enthusiastic, and have a desire to provide gold standard service. You must also be a reliable team player, with significant clinical experience and be keen to lead a high-performing clinical team. People management experience and functions such as conducting appraisals and one-to-ones are desirable.
