We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a couple of years of experience to join our practice in Chesterfield. The role is full‑time, pays between £40,000 and £50,000 depending on experience, and includes a range of benefits such as career progression opportunities, support for further qualifications, and access to lifestyle and shopping discounts.

The successful candidate will become part of a friendly, well‑established team that includes four veterinarians, six nurses, five client‑care advisors, and a practice manager. The working environment is designed to balance clinical excellence with staff wellbeing. Structured appointment times allow thorough patient care; routine consultations are typically 15 minutes, with longer appointments allocated when needed, and the working day is arranged so that consultations finish ahead of closing time. The position is based on a 40‑hour week and includes participation in a one‑in‑four weekend rota.

The practice is modern, bright, and well‑equipped, with digital X‑ray, ultrasound, blood‑pressure monitoring, and an in‑house laboratory, enabling a high standard of diagnostic and clinical work. Ideal candidates are approachable, calm, enthusiastic, and possess strong interpersonal skills. A genuine commitment to patient and client care, confidence in both medical and surgical aspects of veterinary work, and the ability to contribute positively within a team‑focused environment are essential.
