A leading veterinary team in Lancashire is seeking an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join its supportive and collaborative 24-hour practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality out-of-hours care across several local practices, managing a varied caseload with a focus on emergency and critical care, as well as inpatient support.
This is a full-time position based at the 24-hour hospital, working an annualised hours contract designed to provide an excellent work-life balance. The role follows a 5 nights on, 10 nights off rota, with shifts running from 7pm to 9am.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be confident working independently overnight and have strong experience handling emergency and critical care cases. Previous out-of-hours or ECC experience is essential, along with excellent clinical judgement, a calm approach under pressure, and a compassionate, team-focused attitude.
