This small animal hospital is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its dedicated night team at its 24-hour site in Bolton. The role offers an unusual working pattern of seven nights on followed by 14 nights off, averaging 28 hours per week, making it an attractive option for someone seeking a better balance between work and personal life.

The night shifts run from 8pm to 9am and provide the opportunity to work within a well-equipped hospital alongside a supportive and inclusive clinical team.

The practice is a busy 24-hour hospital with excellent facilities, including eight consulting rooms, three theatres, digital X-ray, a dedicated dental suite and a CT scanner. Patient care is supported by separate dog and cat wards, as well as a dedicated ICU area for patients requiring intensive nursing and monitoring.

The hospital manages a varied caseload covering both medical and surgical cases, with weekly orthopaedic procedures providing further exposure to a broad range of clinical presentations. Every member of the team is encouraged to contribute ideas, share knowledge and play an active role in maintaining high standards of clinical care. They aim to make veterinary treatment more accessible and remove some of the financial barriers that can prevent pets from receiving the care they need.

The night team works a 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota, averaging 28 hours per week. Shifts are 8pm-9am.

The package includes six weeks' holiday, with Bank Holidays incorporated into the rota pattern, alongside funded CPD and support for professional development. Visa sponsorship and accommodation are also available.
