Veterinary Surgeon - Blackburn

My Client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years' experience to join its Blackburn team.

This is an opportunity to work within a purpose-driven organisation that provides accessible, high-quality veterinary care to pets and their owners, without compromising on clinical standards.

The role offers a varied and rewarding caseload, with the majority of patients presenting with illness or injury.

This provides plenty of scope for the successful candidate to use their existing skills while continuing to develop their clinical knowledge and experience.

The Blackburn team manages a particularly busy surgical caseload, including a range of orthopaedic procedures, making it a great environment for a vet with a surgical interest.

The Blackburn clinic is well equipped to support a wide range of clinical work.

Facilities include three operating theatres, one of which is a dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray, as well as seven consulting rooms.

The practice is well placed to meet the needs of its growing client base and provides the equipment and facilities needed to deliver high-quality patient care.

Rather than being solely focused on maximising profits, its priority is delivering its social mission while generating sufficient income to remain sustainable and continue providing accessible veterinary services.

The position is based around a 38-hour working week over four days, with participation in a 2:9 Saturday daytime rota.

In return, the successful candidate will receive six weeks' holiday including Bank Holidays, funded CPD, private healthcare, a contributory 4% pension and paid RCVS and VDS fees.

The package also includes an enhanced maternity and paternity scheme, up to 52 weeks' sickness support.

Additional benefits include a Cycle to Work scheme, E-Car scheme, visa sponsorship where applicable.
