Experienced Night Vet required for a cutting-edge Tier three hospital. My clients have an amazing opportunity to join a wonderful vet family based in a small animal hospital located in South Yorkshire. This progressive 24-hour practice is looking for a night vet to join their night rota, working 7 nights on and 14 off.

Across the business, they have a team of fifteen vets plus support staff and are a great supportive and friendly practice. They operate a thriving hospital offering both high-end first opinion and referral practice, set in their purpose-built practice with a brand new referral extension and CT scanner. They have grown from a small practice into this RCVS award-winning practice over the period of 20 years, due to the dedication and passion of both its partners and team.

They have 4 operating theatres, one with its own X-ray and one full laparoscopic suite and ultrasound room. Facilities include an oxygen chamber, orthopedic kit, isolation wards, hydrotherapy pool, and a full lab with same day results! They perform orthopedic procedures such as TTA TPLO fracture repairs, blood transfusions, and offer chemotherapy, as well as acupuncture, endoscopy, and physio amongst many other services.

The caseload is progressive and varied, and the team includes 4 certificate holders, with interest in disciplines such as endoscopy, orthopedics, imaging, ECC, and oncology. As part of the night team, you will be working a fully awake shift involving all aspects of routine surgical and medical practice plus emergency and critical care cases, referred from around the area. The shifts run from 7:15pm to 7:30am and time is given to handover from one team to another to ensure a seamless care package for the patient, with an inpatient nurse operating 24 hours a day.

Salary is competitive and they have many benefits including pension. If you would like to apply then please contact Louise@brightleaf.co.uk or give me a call on 01422 433900.
