About the role

Somewhere you can say: “I did that.” We are looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Chantry Hall Day Nursery and Preschool, situated in Muswell Hill. The nursery has great transport links, being a 15‑minute walk from Alexandra Palace and Bowes Park Stations as well as Bounds Green Underground, and there is parking outside of the nursery. The fantastic 82‑place setting, proudly rated “Good” by Ofsted, features spacious and well‑resourced rooms and large windows that let in lots of natural light. It also benefits from a fantastic garden area with bikes, climbing frames and a mud kitchen, perfect for outdoor teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support colleagues with the delivery of the EYFS by engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones.
  • Work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day‑to‑day tasks—such as room tidying and preparation—are completed.

Qualifications

  • Full and relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
  • Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
