Purpose of Role: This role supports the Early Careers Manager to deliver key initiatives including recruiting student placements, apprentices and qualified practitioners. The role will build and maintain strong relationships with numerous education establishments and internal stakeholders to raise awareness of Early Years as a career and deliver early careers talent into the business.

Responsible for:

  • Support the Early Careers Team with the ongoing development and management of recruiting activity for student placements, and our apprenticeship programme.
  • Deliver an end to end 360 recruitment and compliance service for Student Placements at Bright Horizons including scheduling interviews and completing references checks.
  • Ensure all students are correctly inducted and assigned mentorship on commencement of their placement and provide regular feedback to both student and education facility.
  • Work with the business and student placements to offer the students paid employment in our nurseries subject to managers approval.
  • Ensure the Bright Horizons Safer Recruitment policy remains paramount throughout all recruitment processes.
  • Keep in touch with early careers recruits during the compliance period to promote continued engagement.
  • Review open apprenticeship and graduate requisitions to ensure correct roles are being recruited.
  • Attending, scheduling, and organising recruitment events alongside early careers team.
  • Taking ownership on event follow up, ensuring that all candidates met with are contacted and passed onto the relevant recruiter for next steps.
  • Regularly assess recruitment activities with Early Careers Manager to ensure their effectiveness and success at achieving desired outcomes and ROI.
  • Continuously updating school, college, and university databases to ensure we have covered all locations and have correct contact details stored for stakeholders.
  • Send out mailshots to schools, colleges and universities promoting events and opportunities.
  • Responding to enquiries from schools, colleges, and university partners, delivering a first-class experience.
  • Acting as a T-Level and Apprenticeship Ambassador as and when required.
  • Work in partnership with the Talent Attraction team to identify content to drive out across our careers social channels which supports talent attraction and employer brand engagement across the Early Careers space.
  • Act as an ambassador of Bright Horizons, looking for constant opportunities to promote the employer brand, living the heart principles of Bright Horizons, and demonstrating passion for delivery of an outstanding recruitment service to the business.
  • Overseeing the Bright Horizons early careers email inboxes.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in a similar Early Years role, knowledge of Early Years qualifications.
  • Experience of Microsoft office including, word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • A positive and engaging individual who can confidently present and communicate at all levels.
  • Experience of working across different teams to achieve outcomes.
  • Ability to work at pace in a demanding environment.
  • Passion for recruitment and people.
  • Driving licence and car – mobility is needed to access the variety of venues you need to travel to.

Experience Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience of Workday and Phenom Systems.
  • Experience of designing and improving internal processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of recruiting for student placements, apprentices and graduates.
  • In house/ internal recruitment experience.
  • Experience of or in the childcare sector.
  • Project management experience.

  • A β€˜can-do’ attitude with the ability to prioritise workload to meet the demands of the business including the delivery and execution of projects on time.
  • Must be analytical, with great attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel to events and our nurseries on a regular basis, some out of hours working is required.
