At Bright Horizons, we're committed to creating safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive. We're looking for an experienced Safeguarding Investigator to join our safeguarding team and play a critical role in protecting children, managing risk and driving best practice across our nursery network.
In this role, you'll lead and manage safeguarding investigations from initial concern through to conclusion, handling a range of cases from low-level concerns to complex and high-risk investigations. You'll use professional curiosity, sound judgement and a child-centred approach to assess risk, gather evidence, identify safeguarding concerns and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
Working closely with Operational Leaders, HR, Legal, Regulatory Specialists and external agencies, you'll ensure investigations are carried out thoroughly, consistently and in line with safeguarding, legal and regulatory requirements. You'll also support referrals to agencies such as the LADO, Children's Services, Police and Ofsted where appropriate, ensuring children's welfare remains at the heart of every decision.
What we're looking for:
- Experience conducting safeguarding investigations or managing complex safeguarding casework
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles, processes and risk assessment
- Excellent investigative, analytical and decision-making skills
- Experience producing clear, accurate and evidence-based reports
- Ability to confidently manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Experience within education, childcare, healthcare, social care or another safeguarding-focused environment is desirable
We support more than 10,000 children across the UK and are proud that 98% of our nursery portfolio is rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted. You'll be joining an organisation committed to safeguarding excellence, continuous improvement and creating an environment where both children and colleagues can flourish.
Our benefits include:
- Flexible working and holiday entitlements
- High street, travel and lifestyle discounts
- Comprehensive wellbeing support and resources
If you're passionate about safeguarding, thrive in complex investigations and want to make a meaningful difference to children's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
