Nursery – Bright Horizons Finsbury Park Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary – Starting from £28,184 per annum (Full-time equivalent - Pro-rata'd) (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location – Finsbury Park, London

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Finsbury Park nursery, which is situated in the heart of Finsbury Park. The nursery offers excellent links to rail, tube and bus stations. The nearest rail and tube stations to the nursery is Finsbury Park underground station (10 minute walk), Finsbury park Railway station (9 minute walk) and Crouch Hill Rail station (9 minute walk). We have buses 210, W3 and W7 that is close to the nursery. This role is for 30 hours, working Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays.

Our Bright Horizons Finsbury Park is Ofsted rated “Good” and is a light, spacious, purpose-built day nursery all on one level the rooms all have direct access to outdoor garden areas.

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
