About the Role

We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Bishopbriggs nursery. Bright Horizons Bishopbriggs Early Learning and Childcare has been a long‑established nursery at the heart of the community, providing high‑quality childcare and early education for over 30 years. The setting welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years, offering dedicated rooms tailored to each developmental stage—from a bright, stimulating baby room through to a dynamic, free‑flowing preschool environment. The nursery features spacious indoor learning areas and large outdoor gardens that include engaging resources such as a mud kitchen, open‑ended materials, and spaces for imaginative and creative play. These areas are designed to inspire curiosity, independence, and confidence as children explore, learn, and grow.

Responsibilities

  • As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each child, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
  • You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

Qualifications

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
  • Strong understanding of the Scottish Curriculum
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/carers
