We’re looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our Bishopbriggs nursery. Bright Horizons Bishopbriggs Early Learning and Childcare is a long‑established nursery at the heart of the Bishopbriggs community, providing high‑quality childcare and early education for over 30 years. The setting welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years and offers dedicated rooms tailored to each developmental stage – from a bright, stimulating baby room to a dynamic, free‑flowing preschool environment. The nursery features spacious indoor learning areas and large outdoor gardens that include engaging resources such as a mud kitchen, open‑ended materials, and spaces for imaginative and creative play. These areas are designed to inspire curiosity, independence and confidence as children explore, learn and grow. Located just a short walk from Bishopbriggs train station and within catchment for several local primary schools, the nursery supports smooth and convenient transitions into school life.

The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help foster a lifelong love of learning.
What We’re Looking For
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
- Strong understanding of the Scottish Curriculum
- Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/carers
