Brighthire Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Support Workers to join our temporary workforce in Chelmsford.

About the Role

You will be supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live as independently as possible and stay involved in their local communities. This is a person-centred role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making a real difference in the lives of the people you support
  • Supporting individuals with daily routines using a person-centred approach
  • Keeping care plans and records accurate and up to date
  • Helping with day-to-day tasks to promote independence
  • Working closely with managers and colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support
  • Supporting with personal care and manual handling when required

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 6 months UK care experience
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour (verbal or physical)
  • Understanding or experience of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Calm, reliable, and compassionate approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be 18+ and have the right to work in the UK (Skilled Worker visa holders welcome)
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service is ideal; however, we can support you to obtain a new DBS if required
  • Training refreshers and updates can also be supported where needed
